The Paintings displayed for sale are the product of the World In Need Child Day Care Centre in Kabul. This is a free education centre for up to 110 children aged between 4 and 16. The children who attend not only receive state standard education, but health care and nutritious meals which they may not get elsewhere. Many of the children who attend receive support through World In Needs "Restored Lives" Child Sponsorship programme.

Many of the children have lost parents, and others live with their mothers who will receive no state support.

The paintings are oil based and created on local produced canvas.

Painting is encouraged as a form of expressionism under the tutoring of Ali Khan.

Money from the sale of paintings is sent back to the CDCC to purchase extra supplies.

With each painting you will receive a photograph, where available, of the artist and a profile. So you are not just purchasing a painting, but the artist's life story behind it.

Paintings can be bought for £25 unframed. Alternatively, please visit our offices in Crowborough to inspect the pictures which are available.
